How to get the perfect eyeliner flick - cheat

Claire Coleman shares: For years I have attempted to perfect that fabulous Sixties flicky eyeliner thing.

This season, the crisp flick is once more being heralded as a make-up trend, and this time, I’ll actually be sporting it, thanks to Dior. Its latest cosmetic invention, Velvet Eyes, is a set of repositionable, adhesive eyeliner patches — essentially, stick-on flicks.

The limited-edition patches come in four designs, ranging from a simple matte black curve to an uber-glam version studded with Swarovski crystals. They will be available at Selfridges nationwide and Brown Thomas in Ireland.

The price? £47 for a set of four. They are beautiful. And, of course, if you’re feeling impoverished, you could always get busy with a sharp pair of scissors and some self-adhesive fabric...
