Johnny's Thai Steamboat Restaurant, Batu Pahat

Nothing much special, was back at Batu Pahat with my parents and as usual will take them out for makan-makan session. This time round, decided to take them to Johnny's Steamboat Restaurant as they never been there before yet.

I have visited this restaurant a few times with my ex-colleagues and friends while in KL as they have a few outlets in Klang Valley but seems new in Batu Pahat.

It was quite a pleasant experience to have your family gathering or with friends at this restaurant at reasonable prices. Personally, I don't really enjoyed steamboat but I love their ala carte. Their fried rice taste real good and also some other meat dishes also my favourite.

The steamboat at Johnny's is prepared Thai-style, with fresh meat, seafood and vegetables in a chicken and vegetable-base soup with a Thai dipping sauce. There's garlic and cili padi on the side for those who need that extra kick.

A wide array of items can be added to the soup, such as fresh fish, chicken and beef pieces, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, and shrimp, fish and chicken balls.

The one-person set costs RM13.90++ while the two and four-person sets are RM29.90++ and RM59.90++, respectively.

Johnny's also serves tasty a la carte dishes including Thai green curry, spicy seafood, black pepper beef and Thai belacan rice, priced between RM6.90 and RM12.90.

"There are no preservatives in any of the dishes so diners can be sure that they're eating a healthy meal.
