Paperself Eyelashes

You know how almost every other woman out there is just crazy about falsies? Yes, well it’s true how amazing your peepers can look when you put on a pair of stunning false eyelashes. I’ve always thought She Uemura serves up the best of the best falsies, especially those truly artistic and stand-out types… up till now, that is. I’ve just recently discovered these super-fab Paperself Eyelashes, designed by Ting Yu Wang.

“Inspired by the art of Chinese paper-cutting, Eyelashes blend an element of traditional culture with contemporary design. Intricately cut and delicately pretty, Eyelashes are available in three styles, each infused with symbolic meaning rooted in Chinese culture.” Psst… in case you’re wondering who or what Paperself is, they are actually a… paper design firm.

The best part about these precious eyelashes? Each set actually represent traditional Chinese symbols of love (peach blossoms), success (horses) and happiness (peonies)! Now we’re talking something really different from the rest that really stands out loud and proud. Who would’ve thought plain ol’ paper could look this great, huh?!

They are available in two sizes: accentuate the corners of your eyes with the smaller lashes for a subtle daytime look, or make a statement with the full lashes for a special occasion. I can just imagine myself in a plain black dress (and make that one which I dug out from the back of my closet) with a pair of the peonies eyelashes; that’ll be all I need to make a statement…without saying a word whatsoever.
