Pre-Christian Germanic, Celtic and other central and northern
European tribes were often heavily tattooed, according to surviving accounts.
The Picts were famously tattooed (or scarified) with elaborate dark blue woad (or possibly copper for the blue tone) designs. Julius Caesar described
these tattoos in Book V of his Gallic Wars(54 BC).
Various
other cultures have had their own tattoo traditions, ranging from rubbing cuts
and other wounds with ashes, to hand-pricking the skin to insert dyes.
Tattooing in the Western world today
has its origins in Polynesia,
and in the discovery of tatau by eighteenth century explorers. The
Polynesian practice became popular among European sailors, before spreading to
Western societies generally.First day of Chinese New Year 23 January 2012, I had my 4th tattoo at Crazy Art Tattoo, Batu Pahat Johor. I wasn't aware that the boss, the tattoo artist is actually my neighbour. Awesome, I had a great time doing my tattoo the Peony. It was painful but that is the kind of pain I am looking for. Sounds insane but for real, I swear it.
If you are in Batu Pahat and wanted to get yourself a tattoo or should I say tattoos. Get it from Crazy Art Tattoo by appointment only:
Address: 26, Jalan Susur Perdana Tengah, Taman Bukit Perdana, 83000 Batu Pahat, Malaysia
Mobile: 016- 7911661
Maybe I think I am gonna get more tattoos done. Especially the one to cover up my stupid scar on my left thigh. |
Look at the blood. Bleeding still but no worries, not painful at all. |
The work starts |
Peace! This is the 2nd day of Chinese New Year, accompany my brother to get his tattoo done this time round. |
The Peony meant to cover the rose tattoo of mine |
Wanted to do the peony in Pink colour but can't be able to as my original blue rose tattoo was in dark colour. So I have to get my peony done in dark colour also. |
