Tenugui Tissue Case Making Workshop KL by Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur

The traveling exhibition finally comes to Malaysia having successfully toured Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The 35 drawings and installations on view represent “micropop”, a term coined by curator Midori Matsui to describe the unique worldview of artists who rearrange fragments of information and knowledge to suggest fresh ways of perceiving the outmoded and banal.

The Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur will soon accept reservations to another of our popular handicraft workshops. This time around, participants will make their very own tissue cases out of Tenugui, a traditional Japanese towel with many practical and decorative uses.

By 18 April at JFKL Library. Uncollected tickets will be released.
