It is a very special night during the Christmas food review on 17 November 2016. There is a special arrangement on cooking workshop with Hideaki Lim who is a reputable Malaysian fashion designer expertise in futuristic fashion; along with the hotel’s Executive Chef and brigade of chefs at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, while introducing the Christmas buffet.

We enjoyed it with such great fun and the most important....unbeatable delicious food. Don't worry, this part I can guarantee; superb food selections and as you all knew, I am very particular with roasted items. I won't be taking any single bite of it if the roasts are not tender or juicy enough. But on that night, I just can't stop with the roasts, and of course desserts....... . Don't forget, I am a dessert person; nevertheless, to say, I am extremely demanding on the taste of desserts.

Oh ya, by the way...have you tried Mash Sweet Potato? Full of nutritions and delicious. I will definitely show you my kick-boxing skill if you are going to fight with me on that. *laugh. Thanks to the Executive Chef of Berjaya Times Square Hotel; yes, you are right! He is the mastermind...

BERJAYA TIMES SQUARE HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR REACHES OUT TO CHILDREN FROM THE ORANG ASLI COMMUNITY

The hotel associates from Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur recently brought joy and smiles to the 40 Orang Asli children studying at Tadika Kemas Jakoa, a pre-school set up for the Orang Asli community in Gombak.

Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur’s Corporate Social Responsibility program (CSR) for the month of October was championed by the hotel’s Front Office department. The group of 30, made up of associates from different departments within the hotel arrived at the pre-school at 9.30am and had a sumptuous breakfast feast with the children and their teachers.

After breakfast, the children continued on with the day’s lesson while the associates get started on the repair and renovation works. The peeling and discoloured walls outside the main gate was stripped clean and given a fresh coat of grey paint by the first team while the second team tended to the small garden beside the pre-school. The associates spruced up the garden by planting chillies, tomatoes and lady fingers’. The children will take care of the crops as part of their outdoor activities.

The repairs and renovation works ended around 3 pm which was followed by a hearty and healthy lunch, specially prepared by the hotel’s kitchen department for the growing children. The hotel associates and children then spent the rest of the afternoon engaging in fun activities such as musical chairs before moving to the main highlight of the day which was the presentation of gifts for the children. All 40 children in Tadika Kemas Jakoa were presented with new bags, stationeries as well as toys. In addition to that, the associates of Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur also prepared a sweet surprised for the children in the form of a delicious chocolate cake topped with glazed fruits and marshmallows. The giant chocolate cake was for all the birthday boys and girls in the school.

“We are delighted to bring cheer and warmth to the children of Tadika Kemas Jakoa with our latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity. This activity is part of our continuous effort in reaching out to a wider cross section of the community through a series of CSR initiatives which we organized throughout the year”, said Mondi Mecja, Area General Manager of Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

“We truly enjoyed spending the day with the children at Tadika Kemas Jakoa. Besides that, we also had a great talk with the teachers working selflessly each day educating the children in the Orang Asli Community. We were able to hear first-hand on the challenges that they are facing and we hope to be able to come back again next time and be of assistance again”, he added.

Victorian Style Tea @ Since 18's, Taman Danau Desa

Ladies will definitely enjoy tea with a group of friends, chatting and catch up after a long week. I found this place which is kind of good location for catch-up.

Normally, tea set will only available from 2.30pm to 5pm at other places. Well, here they have it from 12noon but with different serving. Glad that they have the tea served as early as 12 noon. Other places where there hold so strict on their timing disappoints me.

As diners and maybe small eaters, we would like to have tea set served during lunch hour. The set served with a decent mixture of small bites such as tarts, sausages, and others.

The uniqueness is  that you can find nicely crafted hardware items be withy made of chocolate items for your consume.  The presentation will be great for those who preferred it for a photo shooting elements while having tea or meal.

The presentation is perfect. Great place to explore for a get-together. A Great catch up or hide away with some gossip

French Cuisine Indulgence @ Rendez-Vous, Bangsar

It is not easy to find a decent French cuisine restaurant around with much affordable pricing. It happened to be that my partner read about this restaurant and we decided to drop by for lunch and celebrating our 9 months anniversary.

I am glad that my partner pesters me to try this restaurant out for a decent gastronomy Expedia. We decided on this Sunday, we do not opt for the set menu as I preferred ala carte.

We ordered our  starter for sharing and it tastes perfect. It captures my attention. Everything is perfect, noticed that chef is making an effort to have all the dishes perfectly prepared.

The lamb is tender and juicy, and I love the pork belly too. It just melts in your mouth kinda feeling I would say. Soft, tender and it's killing me softly.

French desserts we tried and the texture is very well and taste generous with the aromatic of ingredients gathers in one. Yes, the flaming dessert...that you will love...

I am particular with cuisine; this place accords me a new dimension of excellence. Very well satisfied, I enjoyed the dishes which we ordered and being explained to us. Great dining experience. We will be back to try out other dishes.

BERJAYA TIMES SQUARE HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR REACHES OUT TO CHILDREN IN NEED

In the spirit of volunteerism, 30 associates from Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur recently headed to Pusat Jagaan Anak Yatim dan Miskin Nurul Iman to refurbish the home and to spend some quality time with the children residing there.

Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur’s Corporate Social Responsibility program (CSR) for the month of September was championed by the hotel’s housekeeping department. The hotel associates arrived at the home at 9am, ready to assists in reparations work and to brighten up the children’s day. After a sumptuous breakfast feast prepared by the hotel for the children, the group of 30 were divided up into three main groups due to the amount of work needed to be completed for the day.

The mold stains on the wall were scrubbed clean before given a fresh coat of white pain, brightening up the exterior of the house. The second team repaired the gate outside which had been out of order for  some time and replaced the burnt out light bulbs in the house so that the children would be able to study at night without straining their eyes. The third team on the hand, focused solely on repairing the cracks on the ceiling which had been damaged due to heavy rain over the years.

The repairs and renovation works ended around 3 pm and the cake- cutting ceremony took place shortly after. The delicious chocolate cake topped with powdered sugar icing specially made by the hotel’s pastry team was a delightful surprise for the children.

The hotel also donated important household necessities such as detergent and soap to the home which goes through these items very quickly due to the large number of children currently residing there.
